John Byrne Books Ltd. are looking to hire for the position of Bookseller to work between The Campus Bookshop UCD and Kilmainham Gaol Books & Gifts.

The Campus Bookshop is at the heart of the busy UCD Campus in Belfield with a 40+ year history of bookselling. Kilmainham Gaol Books & Gifts serves the historical Kilmainham Gaol national monument.

This is a full-time position for 35 hours over 5 days including Saturday & Sunday.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a retail environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working under pressure
• Ability to work well as part of a team but also to take initiative
• Ability to adapt to the requirements of the bookshop
• Confidence in dealing with operational procedures including cash handling

Desirable:

• Previous experience working in a bookshop or gift shop
• Experience managing an Ecommerce website
